QCF readiness provider support e-news
Issue 3 - December 2009
 Don't delay your action planning
QCF action planning is a valuable process that enables you to review how prepared you are and develop your next steps. Using our action planning tool, QCF regional contacts are currently working with providers across the learning and skills sector. If support for staff development is identified as an area for further development, regional contacts will work with you individually or as part of a group, to prepare training tailored to your needs. QCF action planning and bespoke training are available to LSC contracted providers.

 More places for champions' training
In response to continuing demand, additional places have been made available on the QCF champions’ training programme. There are now an extra 30 places on the London event which starts on 20 January 2010. Once these are filled, there will be a reserve list so that any cancelled places can be quickly reallocated. If you haven’t yet registered and would like to do so, visit the QCF website. Click here.
LSC QCF policy update
The latest (issue 4) QCF policy update from the Learning and Skills Council is now available. It highlights key areas of the organisation's work and progress with regard to its remit to implement the QCF across the post-19 further education and skills system. The update contains information on progress, ongoing development and implementation of the QCF Service Layer.

Interactive action planner - your chance to input
The prototype for the interactive version of the QCF action planner will be available for review and comment from 22 December. The planner is an online resource that will help you focus your activities and produce QCF action plans. It will also help in the identification of training needs and it links to other programme elements to enable you to obtain maximum benefit from all available resources. If you would like to contribute to the development of this tool, by giving us your valued feedback and input, we'd be delighted to hear from you.
